[Towards the End of Winter]

It’s been another couple of weeks since my last post – the new summary stats on the WordPress toolbar almost seem to be specifically directed at me, warning me that I’ll soon lose all my readers…

Another couple of weeks mean a couple more weeks closer to the end of winter. It felt like it was going to be such a long dreary winter at the beginning on June, but now the sunny afternoons, longer days and warmer temperature do not feel at all that foreign. It has been a harsh winter though – for my body definitely. Hopefully this last bout of cold is the last.
Coughing underneath a few layers of blankets is really not a productive use of time. But there’s still been a few more trips up to the snow, a bit more baking, a couple of birthdays (Christmas and New Years babies… its our time of the year =) ) and more… Winters were made for hibernation but sadly not for us. Oh and some job-searching…okay, a very very little bit of job-searching (no, nothing yet…).
So, there’s much more to blog about yet!
But for now, a few pictures snapped in the last few days.
I really enjoy this time of year…
I love walking home and noticing that the sun lingers a little longer.
And although the flowers are blooming, the tree branches are still bare.
Clear skies and crisp evening air…
Enough to prompt me into taking my camera out of its case again.

A bit of a wordy post (I hope you don’t mind), back to some more photos and baking adventures soon.
(Oh, and the end of August also brings my birthday.. another year gone.
He’s planned a snow weekend for my birthday this year and I can’t wait to get away.)
