六月 1, 2009
Those who know me well will know that my camera is never too far and I will take photos of anything and everything.

Instant Fujifilm
Sadly, the photos stay in neatly labelled folders sitting on my desktop.
So… I think its time to join ranks and share them on our great world-wide-web.
Hence… spent part of the weekend playing with photo-sharing options… but I still can’t decide…. Flickr or Facebook… Events oriented? People or Time?
This…. will take a bit more time.

Flickr is far and away the better photo gallery site, but Facebook is easier for sharing… on the other hand, Facebook does/did have an evil copyright policy (they own your photos forever and ever), while Flickr has a clean record on that side. Flickr also stores hi-res, so people you’re sharing with can get the quality versions. However, if you want to preserve more than 200 photos on Flickr, you have to cough up cash for a pro account – but if you’re happy with just a “photostream”, Flickr works pretty well.

In short: Flickr is great for archival if you’re willing to pay for the subscription. Facebook is great because people will actually look at your photos.
I think you should backup your photos on DVDs and upload your favorite ones to Facebook.
